WJS Tech Day 2023 – an exciting new forum for frontline fabrication

A cloudy October day in Ronneby, Sweden saw individuals from across Europe gather at Water Jet Sweden's headquarters for the inaugural WJS Tech Day 2023. This innovative waterjet management forum has been launched to provide customers with unique first-hand exposure to the latest advancements in waterjet cutting.

WJS Tech Day 2023-min

The primary goal of the WJS Tech Day was to empower customers with the latest insights into waterjet cutting techniques whilst also providing direct access to the experience and expertise of our in-house waterjet specialists. With a strictly limited number of participants, the event allowed ample room and time for theoretical discussions, practical demonstrations, and in-depth conversations.

The agenda featured updates on 3D waterjet cutting, bevel cutting, waterjet cutting with angle compensation, micro cutting, and more. These topics were all presented through real customer cases and live demonstrations to ensure a commercial perspective was maintained alongside the technical aspects of these topics.

Reflecting on the event, Rafal Zawadzki from Poland remarked, " It was a very good meeting and a new experience for all of us." He highlighted in particular the interesting customer cases used, especially those showcasing the 5ax Ultra and ALPHA, presented by Tony Ryd, CTO of Water Jet Sweden towards the end.

Sascha Wessel from Germany echoed this sentiment, stating, " It’s great to have the smaller format because it makes it much easier to get in touch with the different people."

Although this marked the first WJS Tech Day, it is intended that it will become a recurring event for customers aiming to stay ahead of the competition. Lennart Svensson, President and CEO of Water Jet Sweden expressed satisfaction with the outcome of this inaugural event concluding, “The general response from customers has been very positive. This is an event which will continue to develop, and we plan to invite new customers to Tech Days in the future.”
