Glass Cutting with Water Jet Cutters

Cut glass into any shape without cracking

Waterjet is an excellent choice for cutting the whole spectrum of glass products. It is recognised as the fastest and most cost-effective way of processing glass which requires shaping and/or internal cutouts because one process can be used to quickly transition from design to cut without tool changes. With waterjet cutting, contours and profiles can be produced that are, at best, too difficult or costly to cut using conventional separation methods. Standard glass, composite glass, armoured glass and Plexiglas® can all be cut with our water jet cutters.

Glass is sensitive to cracking so requires careful handling and it's vital to make starting holes for the openings using as little pressure as possible. The continuous increase or decrease in water jet cutting pressure is extremely useful when cutting brittle materials such as glass or ceramics, because it means that material damage can be avoided. That's why our special water jet cutting programs with low-pressure piercing and cutting tables adapted for smooth handling make our water jet cutters the ideal solution. You can also use quality abrasives in order to avoid chipped cutting edges.
