Oasis singer Noel Gallagher supports WJS customer

It's not every day one of the world's most famous pop stars drops in to support a waterjet cutting company.

Noel Gallagher

Pete Noyce, of Southside Waterjet, couldn't believe his eyes - and ears - when he found out former Oasis front man Noel Gallagher was recording just around the corner from Southside's HQ.

With Gallagher belting out the tunes for his new album, Flying Yesterday, Noyce was cracking on with a brilliant piece of art work hoping to get the superstar's attention with his very own ‘Wonderwall’. Noyce used all of his creativity and skill - which has resulted in some stunning commissioned pieces as well as winning contracts to supply some of London's most prestigious addresses - to grab Gallagher's attention. It worked too with the singer popping in for a chat and to sign the travertine and granite one off creation. ‘Some Might Say’ it was a crafty piece of PR from Southside but it shows the possibilities of what can be created with a Water Jet Sweden machine.

Noel Gallagher Commissioned Piece

Southside has gone from strength to strength since its formation only 3 years ago and WJS UK has been with the firm every step of the way - allowing them to keep up with customer demand and add a second Water Jet Sweden system only 12 months after their existing WJS machine was installed.

With a pair of Water Jet Sweden’s NC30 machines and 2 HP pumps it gives them full production capacity or the flexibility to keep one table for more bespoke applications.

Southside director Pete Noyce said: “Most people think that waterjet cutting is just for steel and precious metals. But with a bit of creativity and imagination the possibilities are endless.”

Water jet cutting saves the day for Honda Superbike restoration project!

WJS UK engineers came to the rescue in manufacturing 4 new exhaust flanges for a classic Honda road racing bike. The Honda VFR750R, frame designation 'RC30', was a fully faired solo seat only racing motorcycle created for homologation purposes for the World Superbike Championship by Honda Racing Corporation (HRC); only 3000 were ever made, making parts difficult and sometimes impossible to obtain.
