WATER JET CUTTING APPLICATIONS
The versatility of abrasive water jet cutters allows our users to cut anything from a thin ceramic tile, through to 250mm granite. Decorative inlays from materials such as stainless steel, brass, copper and even contrasting stone can be cut on the same water jet cutting machine.
Most of our stone and ceramic clients use the versatility of the process to cut, etch, pocket and profile, enabling them to work closely with architects to provide complete and innovative solutions.
Abrasive water jet cutting from Water Jet Sweden can be used to create maximum impact projects such as the famous Comedy Carpet in Blackpool, where in excess of 180,000 individual profiles were cut. Special software modules allow original artwork to be scanned and automatic nesting groups pieces together for maximum material utilisation. For paving and tiling, even the grout width is taken into account to create flowing, natural lines.
