WJS UK support a large number of non ferrous and specialist metals stockholders and processors. With aerospace, oil & gas, defence and sealing solutions making up a large part of the end user base it’s not a surprise to see such growth in specialist metals.
With many end users wanting to reduce the number of processes in the supply chain the demands on waterjet are becoming ever more onerous. Many parts that would once have been finish machined as a separate operation can now be finished to close tolerance on the waterjet, eliminating cost and lead time. BevelJet technology allows for features such as weld preparations and countersinks to be added to the profile without the need for post operation fixturing and machining.
The ability to cut a wide range of metals using the same process has allowed many businesses in this sector to grow. Aluminium, Titanium, yellow metals, Inconels, Monels, Duplex steels, Wear and Armour plate grades are commonly found on Water Jet Sweden systems.
Inkjet marking, that can be included on the Premium and Grand range of machines, allows for information such as part numbers, material batch numbers, order numbers etc to be printed on each profile, giving traceability and reducing a source of error.
