WaterJet Sweden customers in the Oil, Gas and Subsea industries commonly cut materials such as inconels, hastelloys and stainless steels in thickness up to 250mm. Extensive work is carried out to support R&D departments on prototypes and testing, together with serial production parts manufacture. Prouction of valve bodies, flanges, gates and many other parts are common. Waterjet has also proved to be an effective prociess for the removal of flash from castings and forgings.
One major advantage of the abrasive waterjet cutting process is that there is no heat affected zone (HAZ) in the parent material. Parts made from waterjet are reliable in operation as there has been no change to the material structure by adding heat. Waterjet machining produces finished or near to nett shape parts with smooth edge finishes and often eliminates secondary machining operations.
The close tolerances, reduced scrap and smooth finished edges allow Water Jet SWeden customers to be integral partners in the Oil, Gas & Subsea sectors.
